MORGANTON — Jordan Sands #99 from Mount Airy took the lead on a restart after a caution and went on to take the checkered flag in the (Heintz Brothers performance) Blue Ridge 602 modified race. Richie Watson #90 led the first three laps but had to settle for second. Jason Ledford #14 third, George Anen #80 fourth and Lowell Wagner #13W fifth.
John Reynolds #55 from Connelly Springs made his first start of the year pay off by winning the (Heintz Bros performance) Renegade/Crate sportsman event at the Antioch Speedway in Morganton. Victor Durham #100 second, Ronnie Vasser #77 third, Brian Carswell #13 pressured Reynolds early in the race but slowed with over heating problems to finish fourth and Rodney Lail #26 fifth.
Johnny Reynolds #55 from Connelly Springs made it to Victory Lane for the first time ever in his second season by winning the (Tire plus/tires pros) Thunder bombers/pure stock V8 division. Matthew Prince #19P pressured Reynolds most of the event but was sidelined late with engine problems. Benny Peeler #16 worked his way from mid field to finish second, John Mcelrath #63 third, Chris Greene #65 fourth as the highest finishing pure stck V8 and Steven Shrt #17 rounded out the top five.
Paul Butler #B4 from Morganton LED flag to flag winning the super stock 4 event. Trent Chatham #9T second, Trevor Chatham #00 pressured Butler most of the event but slow to a third-place finish. Jimmy Millsaps #20 fourth and Jason Greene #9 fifth.
Randy Powell #88 from Lincolnton won the (RPM graphics) pure stock 4 race. Chris Butler #B9 led the first 8 laps until his racers engine let go sidelining him from the event. John Reed #81 finished second, Jeremy Potter #579 third, Jonathan Greer #65 came from the back of the pack to finish fourth and Kevin Deal #21 fifth.
Blake Walker #00 from Lenoir led every lap on his way to Victory in the Extreme FWD’s race. Kevin Roberts #3 ran strong to a second place finish, Kevin Saam #41 third, Dustin Chapman #58 passed Amanda Farmer #19h with 4 laps remaining to finish fourth, Farmer fifth.
Mason Pugh #22 from Connelly Springs won a highly competitive (James Wagoner’s welding) Young Guns event. Colby Burks #73 quickly worked his way from the rear of the field and pressured Pugh most of the event but could only muster a second place finish. Trace Chatham #21 out battled Chesnie Chatham #9 for second, Chesnie fourth and Colton Stanley #45 rounded out the top five.
