Surry Community College is working with Biltmore Center for Professional Development to offer The Art of Customer Service workshop Thursday, Oct. 25.
The workshop will focus on exceptional customer experiences as the result of intentional planning and processes designed to exceed expectations.
“Key takeaways from the presentation will include time-tested Biltmore best practices to assess and improve an organization, obtaining practical tools for proactively and consistently delivering gracious hospitality to customers and guests, learning methods for fostering an organizational culture of internal service that encourages employees to deliver exceptional external service, and to discover ways to differentiate customer experience as a competitive advantage,” the college said in announcing the workshop.
Along with presentations by the Biltmore Center for Professional Development, the agenda includes a tour of Surry Community College’s Surry Cellars winery, lunch, and presentations by the Blue Ridge Heritage Area Partnership and local tourism groups.
The workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the Shelton-Badgett North Carolina Center for Viticulture & Enology, Surry Community College, 630 S. Main Street, Dobson. Seating is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Early registration will end Aug. 31 with a cost of $115. Late registration will be held Sept. 1 through Oct. 19 with the cost increasing to $145. The fee includes all presentation materials and lunch. To register, visit www.surry.edu/hospitality, or call the SCC Pilot Center at 336-386-3618.
