Comedian to be at Calvary Assembly of God

Award-winning Christian comedian Barry McGee will be ministering at a local church Sunday.

McGee, who has three times been named Comedian of the Year by the Christian Country Music Association and the Country Gospel Music Association, will be at Calvary Assembly of God for the 10:45 a.m. service.

Also a dramatist and musician, he has worked with Lee Greenwood, Ricky Skaggs, Charlie Daniels and Dr. Tony Evans. He has performed “John on the Island of Patmos” off the lawn of the Capitol in Washington, D.C., and has held chapel services for NHRA, IHRA, MRO and NASCAR events. He is the volunteer shop chaplain for Morgan Shepherd’s racing organization.
