DOBSON — The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has released the following incident reports:

• Cody Hinson, of Butchers Lane, State Road, reported a stolen car on June 28. He said around 3:30 p.m. he found that someone had taken his 1999 BMW 323i sedan without permission from the residence.

• Jerry Dollyhigh, of Turner Mountain Road, Mount Airy, reported vehicle vandalism on June 28. He said the incident occurred between April 14-15 at the residence as someone broke out windows of his 1990 Chevy S10 pickup, doing $685 in damages.

• Gail Blackburn and Joshua Blackburn, of Minnow Lane, reported a theft on June 29. They said between June 19-29 someone went into their covered carport and stole some items, including a Boss 3,250-watt generator ($600), a Kobalt air compressor ($200) and a Homelite trimmer ($80).

• Deanne Snow, of Dobson, reported identity theft on June 29. She said someone used her information fraudulently.

• Dorothy Collins of Harmony Lane, Mount Airy, reported vandalism on June 30. She said between 9 p.m. the night before and 11 a.m. that day someone broke the back passenger window out of her 2007 Nissan Altima, doing $200 in damage.

• Donald Steele, of Stony Knoll Road, Dobson, reported theft on June 30. He said between June 19-30 someone stole four gallons of gas from a vehicle and a $90 battery.

• Kenneth Holman, of Frederick, Maryland, reported property damage on land he owns in Thurmond on June 30. He claimed that a logging company cleared a path through the woods on his land in order to reach another property — without his permission. The damage is listed at $10,000.

• Tony Shinault, of Surry-Yadkin Electric Membership Corp., reported theft of electricity on July 2. He said that someone had rewired a power meter to bypass the meter, stealing an unknown amount of electricity at a residence on River Road in Dobson.

• Clifford Huff, of Mount Airy, reported a break-in of a vehicle on July 2. He said his vehicle was parked on Smith Road in Mount Airy between 10 a.m. and 10:17 a.m. when someone entered the vehicle and stole a Samsung Galaxy S8 smart phone valued at $800.

• Linda Chambers, of Siloam Road, Dobson, reported vandalism on July 3. She said someone damaged her mailbox ($40) overnight.

• Henry and Tyler Key of Bryan Road, Pilot Mountain, reported break-ins of their vehicles on July 3. No items were listed as stolen on the report.

• Matthew Gravely, of Dobson, reported a stolen car on July 3. He said his 2002 Toyota Tacoma truck ($10,000) was parked on Joe Layne Mill Road, Elkin on June 30 when it went missing.

• Michael McCraw, Siloam Road, reported a larceny on July 3. He said sometime between noon and 3:15 p.m. that day someone stole his Stihl trimmer ($240).

• James Jessup, of Johnson City, Tennessee, reported a stolen gun on July 3. He said he had a black revolver (brand not given) at a dwelling on Turkey Ford Road between June 16 and July 2 when someone entered the residence and stole the firearm.

• Kimberly Holt, of Brown Road, Mount Airy, reported an attempted break-in on July 4. She said between noon and 9:40 p.m. someone attempted to break in and damaged the back door, doing about $300 in damages.

• Mitchell Shawn, of Pratt Road, Ararat, reported a break-in July 5. He reported that around 2:15 a.m. he noticed someone had gotten inside an outbuilding and removed items. None of the items were listed on the report.
