Assistant principals honored


Surry County Schools board members and other officials posed for a photograph with 10 of the county’s assistant principals who completed the Instruction Leadership Practicum over the past school year.

The Surry County Board of Education recently recognized 12 assistant principals for their work in the Instruction Leadership Practicum.

The program, done in partnership with Research Triangle International, was taught this past school year by Neil Atkins and DeAnne Danley.

The assistant principals recognized included Catherine Dollyhite, Regina Barbour, Kara Martin, Blair Lambert, Kristin Blake, Jamie Martin, Amanda Adams, Laura Whitaker, Renee Bowman, Colby Beamer, Lori Gammons and Kelly Waters.
