Foothills Food Pantry recently received a check for more than $4,500 from Scenic Chevrolet, GMC, Subaru, courtesy of Scenic, Subaru of America Inc, and their customers.

Subaru of America’s Share the Love event, held between Nov. 16 and Jan. 2, allowed customers who purchased a vehicle during that period to designate $250 of their purchase price to go to a list of charities.

While Subaru of America had placed ASPCA, Make-A-Wish, Meals on Wheels America, and the National Park Foundation on the list, the company also allowed local retailers to add local charities to their list. Scenic Chevrolet, GMS, Subaru chose Foothills.

As a result, the company this recently handed over to the food bank a check for $4,636.02.
