SURRY COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS

DOBSON — The Surry County Sheriff’s Office has released the following arrest reports:

• James Dean Sawyers, 36, of Belton Road, Mount Airy, was served warrants April 3 on several charges and given a $7,000 secured bond. Two days later, additional traffic-related charges were filed, with a $500 secured bond.

Among the charges were passing a worthless check, fleeing to elude arrest, resisting an officer, failing to apply for a new title, having no registration card, having a fictitious tag, driving with no insurance and giving false information to an officer. These driving-related charges come up on April 17.

On May 15 he faces charges of six counts of passing a worthless check along with fleeing to elude arrest and resisting an officer.

• Christy Nicole Bright, 26, of Old U.S. 601, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest April 3 on a charge of failure to pay child support, dated Jan. 10. She was given a $500 cash bond and a May 15 court date.

• Linda Sykes Smith, 56, of N.C. 268, Elkin, was served a criminal summons on a charge of passing a worthless check. The victim is listed as Pine Hill Farm Supply of Ararat. She was given a May 11 court date.

• Jesse Gene Jenkins, 25, of Seapath Trail, Dobson, was served an order for arrest April 3 for failure to appear in court April 1. He was held with no bond. He is not listed on the county’s court docket yet.

• Steven Louis Senter, 44, of Pine Ridge Road, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest April 3 for failure to appear in court March 15. The original charge was not listed. He was given no bond and a court date the next day.

• Adam Zachary Jones, 27, of Fancy Gap Road, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest April 4 for failure to appear in court March 13. The charges include driving with no registration, no vehicle inspection, no insurance and using a borrowed license plate. He was given a $300 cash bond and a May 8 court date.

• Jamie Lee Gray, 43, of Badgett Avenue, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest April 4 for two counts of failure to appear in court Jan. 23. Those charges were reckless driving to endanger and driving while license revoked (not impaired). He was given a $16,000 secured bond and an April 19 court date.

He also faces charges that day of improper passing, failure to stop for a stop sign/light, no registration, having an altered or fictitious registration/plate, driving left of center, no car insurance, and failure to heed a light or siren.

• Jennifer Ann White, 42, of Brindle Road, Dobson, was served an order for arrest April 4 for failure to appear in court April 2 on a charge of probation violation. She was given a $5,000 secured bond and a June 25 trial date.

She also has a May 24 court date for charges of larceny, shoplifting by concealment, and failing to maintain lane control while driving.

• Anna Marie Quesenberry, 38, of Old U.S. 601, Mount Airy, was served an order for arrest April 4 for failure to appear in court April 2 on charges of possession of meth, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violations. She was given a $10,000 secured bond and a June 25 court date.

She has an April 19 court date for charges of larceny and possession of stolen goods.

• Kevin Ray Bohannon, 50, of Red White Road, Dobson, was served warrants April 4 on charges of reckless driving to endanger, hit and run, and two counts of injury to real property, all dated April 2 for the Jonesville Police Department. He was given a $5,000 unsecured bond and a May 8 court date in Yadkinville.

• James Darryl Barker, 46, of Poplar Springs Road, Elkin, was served warrants April 4 on charges of larceny and possession of stolen goods, dated Feb. 23. He was given a $1,000 unsecured bond and a May 2 court date.
