The Surry Community College Law Enforcement Official Club is hosting a spaghetti dinner and silent auction to raise funds for the victims of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida.
The event will be held on Friday, April 6 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the VFW Post 2019, located at Veterans Memorial Park, 691 Lebanon St., in Mount Airy. The meal includes spaghetti, salad, bread, drink and dessert. The cost is $8 for adults, $5 for kids (5-12), and kids 5 and younger eat for free. The LEO Club is made up of students studying criminal justice technology at Surry Community College. Surry offers a two-year degree in criminal justice technology and criminal justice: forensic science, along with certifications in each area.
