Local agent honored at conference

A local man was honored recently at the Annual Sales Conference of the Farm Bureau Insurance Companies.

Tim Hamlin, Surry County agent for North Carolina Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co., was named among the Top 75 Agents for 2017.

Steven D. Carroll, executive vice president and general manager for the firm, was on hand to make the announcement.

Hamlin was selected for this honor “based on his outstanding sales and service record for multi lines of insurance during 2017,” the company said in a statement.

North Carolina Farm Bureau Insurance Company has more than 800 agents across the state.

This announcement was made at the company’s annual conference held at the Sheraton Hotel Four Seasons/Joseph S. Koury Convention Center in Greensboro.
