Surry County native joins family practice


Surry County native Kelley Manuel has joined Northern Family Medicine as a family nurse practitioner.

She joins Drs. Nelson Gardner, David Majure and Challie Minton, along with certified providers Michael Cartledge, Charlotte Cassell, Nicole Coalson, and Anthony Hutton.

“It is such a blessing to start my career here at Northern, in the community where I live and love,” said Manuel, “I value the relationships I am building with my patients.”

Manuel is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University where she received her Masters of Nursing for Family Nurse Practitioner. She also received her Bachelors of Nursing from Winston-Salem State University, her associate nursing degree from Surry Community College, and undergraduate studies at Lenoir-Rhyne College.

Prior to joining Northern Family Medicine, Manuel has worked as a pediatric and emergency department nurse at Wake Forest Baptist Health and Pioneer Community Hospital of Stokes. She is also a former ICU nurse at Northern Hospital. She and her family reside in Pilot Mountain.
