God is calling you to a life full of purpose

Randall -

Romans 8:1-4, 28-30 “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in christ jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit…that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us…And we know that all things work together for good to them that love god, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of His Son.”

We are created for God’s purpose! His purpose is for those who have been born again spiritually, to be conformed (be made like unto) the image of Jesus. This is our destiny, predetermined by God. Do you want the most fulfilling life possible? Jesus said, ”I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10). This abundant life, full of purpose is in Him. Work with God on this. Allow Him to shape you into a good and godly vessel that is in good favor of the image of Jesus Christ.

He is the teacher. He has all wisdom. He has given us the Word of God, and His Spirit to guide.

II Timothy 3:14-17…”thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect (mature, complete), thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

John 14:26 …“the Holy Ghost shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

II Peter 1:3 “According as His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue.”

He has made available to us, through the Word, and through His Holy Spirit, everything we need to have a life full of purpose, to fulfill our destiny as the creation of God our Father. It will go much smoother for us if we are obedient children, submissive to God’s divine will, rather than children who need a Father’s correction and chastening before walking His right path. Speaking from personal experience, after enough loving lashes, and bruised knees from stumbling, I have learned that His way is always the best way.

I now desire for His kingdom to come, and not my kingdom. I now long for His will to be done, and not my will, because I know He is God and I am not. He has called his children to glory and virtue. Let’s make Abba (Daddy) proud.

Please read all of Colossians 3:5-10 …”seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; and have put on the new man which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him.” Sometimes we need to be reminded who we are in Christ Jesus. I have found myself having to time and again deny the self absorbed, seeking my own will, my own pleasure old man. But I thank God that through receiving the weekly preaching of God’s Word in a house of worship, and the daily reading and meditating in His Word, and the guidance of God through His Spirit, the new man that He created, in His image overcomes to give me victory most often.

I have discovered that the closer you follow Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and listen to and obey His words, the easier it gets as you go along. You learn from Him to do it in His strength. He lives through you, as you allow Him to.

Philippians 3:14 “I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Here is the goal! The high standard that we should aim for, is to be in Christ, and to be like Him.

Ephesians 4:13…”come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man (mature, complete), unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”

Remembering that Christ is Lord, and we are in the hand of our Potter, we would do well to work along with Him in maturing and perfecting ourselves to His purpose, and glory. Look at I Peter 2:9-12 “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of Him Who hath called you…now the people of God.” Yes brother or sister in Christ, God is calling you to a life full of purpose. Join me as together we fulfill our destiny in His kingdom.
