Police reports

• An encounter with Mount Airy officers at Northern Hospital of Surry County led to a Pilot Mountain man being arrested Saturday on a felony drug charge, according to city police department reports. Charles Michael Fosner, 22, of 1332 Grassy Knob Road, was served with warrants for violations of possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia, which had been filed on May 18 in Stokes County. Fosner was confined in the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond.

• Taurina Maria Ruiz, 28, of 284 Welch Road, an employee of Food Lion on South Andy Griffith Parkway, was charged with 10 counts of a felony offense, larceny by employee, at the store last Thursday after an investigation. No details were listed regarding the charges, for which Ruiz was released under a $10,000 unsecured bond to appear in Surry District Court on Aug. 7.

• Casey Poindexter, 22, of 160 Lori Lane, was cited for larceny on March 14 at Walmart, where he allegedly took clothing items valued at $24, which were recovered. Poindexter was banned from the store and slated for a July 26 court appearance.

• Gregory Richard Parrish, 25, of Winston-Salem, was served with an outstanding criminal summons for an offense of unauthorized use of a conveyance on May 14 after he was encountered during a traffic stop on West Pine Street at Independence Boulevard and the summons was discovered. It had been issued in May 2016 in Forsyth County. Parrish’s court date is July 12.

• Violations of larceny and possession of stolen goods were filed against Brandy Lynn Delgado, 31, of 152 W. Crosswinds Court, on May 13 at Walmart, where she allegedly took merchandise including a pocketbook, flashlight, screen tank shirts and other property, for which $61 in restitution is owed. Delgado is scheduled to appear in District Court on July 26.

• Josiah Shane Grant, 31, of 200 Linwood Drive, was cited for larceny at Walmart on May 12 for allegedly stealing items valued at $70, as witnessed by store loss-prevention personnel. Grant’s court date is July 12.
