DOBSON — A Dobson woman succumbed to her injuries after her vehicle rolled over last week.
Jennifer Woodring, 41, of Reece Road in Dobson, died in the early morning hours at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center on Saturday, according to Surry County EMS Director John Shelton.
Shelton said Woodring was involved in a one-vehicle accident on Oct. 12 on Miller’s Gap Road in Ararat. The call was dispatched at 11:28 a.m.
“The car rolled over, and she was ejected from the vehicle,” explained Shelton.
Woodring was transported to Wake’s trauma center by ground in critical condition, according to Shelton.
The EMS director could not elaborate on any additional circumstances surrounding the wreck.
An attempt was made to garner more information regarding the one-vehicle accident which led to Woodring’s death. However, N.C. Highway Patrol Sgt. Mitch Whitener said any further information regarding the wreck was unavailable as of Monday afternoon.
Whitener explained the trooper investigating the incident had been deployed to help with hurricane-related rescue and clean-up efforts at the coast. He will file his report upon his return from the coast.
