Police reports

• The theft of meat from a local grocery store led to a larceny violation being filed Sunday against Ruthie Mae Fair of 147 Crosswinds Lane, according to Mount Airy Police Department reports. After being encountered in the parking lot of Sav-A-Lot on Carter Street, Fair allegedly admitted taking two roasts valued at $21 without paying for those items, police records state. She is scheduled to be in Surry District Court on July 28.

• A larceny offense was issued Monday against Lara Marie Davenport, 31, of 198 Gloria Drive, after she allegedly took two shirts and a pair of pants, valued at $24, from the Goodwill store on Rockford Street. Davenport’s court date is July 27.

• Christina Michelle Roberson, 38, of 240 Starlite Road, Starlite Motel, was arrested Monday on a disorderly conduct charge after police responded to a domestic disturbance call at that location. Roberson was told multiple times to stop using profanity and return to her room, and was taken into custody after being warned twice, arrest records show. She was confined in the Surry County Jail under a $300 secured bond and slated for a June 9 District Court appearance.

• Ciara Alexis Lester, 19, of 144 Lower Park Lane, was served on May 10 with a criminal summons for violations of injury to personal property and simple assault, which had been issued on May 5 with Justin Davis Ward of Merita Street as the complainant. Lester is scheduled to appear in District Court on June 3.

• Brittany Rena Creed, 35, of 105 W. Oakdale St., was cited for a city ordinance violation on May 10 after police encountered her there on an animal-related call. A dog was seen running at large at Creed’s home and due to her previously being warned for that last September, she was cited and slated for a June 1 court appearance.

• Also on May 10, a break-in of a coin-operated Coca-Cola dispenser at a roadside location in the 100 block of North Main Street was reported, with an undisclosed sum of money taken.

• Jonas Garcia, 20, listed as homeless, was served on May 9 with an outstanding criminal summons for a charge of assault with a deadly weapon, which had been filed earlier that day with Taxon Parson of Cedar Ridge Road as the complainant. Garcia is to be in Surry District Court on June 10.

• Police were told on May 5 that a coin-operated Coca-Cola machine had been broken into at South Village Apartments on Carolina Court, with various coins totaling $48 listed as stolen.
