Sheriff’s Office Reports

A laptop computer was reported stolen from the U.S. Census Bureau on August 4 by George Edward Ashley, of Old Highway 21 in State Road. Ashely, a bureau employee, said the laptop was removed from the his vehicle while eating breakfast at a restaurant on U.S. 21 in State Road.

Misty Jenkins, an employee of Circle K on U.S. 601 in Dobson, reported a shoplifting incident on Aug. 8.

A white and green bicycle was reported stolen from the residence of Cindy Lynn Stanley, of Edgewood Drive, Mount Airy, on Aug. 7.

Martha Sue Beck, of Dunaway Lane, Pilot Mountain, reported 108 Oxycodone pills stolen from her residence, along with four packs of cigarettes and a black cigarette case with a rebel flag.

Several firearms were reported stolen from the residence of Donald Ray Harris, of Burke Road, Mount Airy on Aug. 8. The missing firearms were a 9mm machine gun, a 1961 black powder revolver, two black and gold powder revolvers and a black powder revolver, with a total value listed at $2400. The door frame was damaged in the apparent breaking and entering.

A breaking and entering was reported by Shirley Engel Holt, of Pine Ridge Road, Mount Airy. The door of the residence was damaged but no items were reported stolen.

Two North Carolina license plates were reported stolen from Cody Lee Cameron, of Heartbeat Lane, Dobson.

Tunnel Corn Bowlin, of Beacon Lane, Mount Airy, reported a breaking and entering at her residence on August 8. Two keys to a Ford truck were reported stolen, along with gasoline, a box of tools and a pair of bolt cutters. The value of the stolen items totaled $2105.

Mark Gray Flinchum, of Dillons Farm Trail, Mount Airy, reported a vandalism incident at his residence on August 8, where a suspect damaged property with a BB gun. Five fluorescent lightbulbs, a paint sprayer, and vehicle were damaged. The total value of the damage was listed at $438.

Charles Alexander Bedsaul, of Toms Creek Road, Ararat, reported his fence damaged by a vehicle on August 8.

Ariris Loucie Wall, of Ararat Road, Ararat, reported that someone broke into her home and stole a hot water tank valued at $300.
