Amy Rebekah Hill and Ricky Gray Haynes were united in marriage on June 6, 2015 at 4:00 in the afternoon at Welcome Home Baptist Church in Mount Airy. The Rev. Terry Coe and Bro. Barry O’Neal officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Roger and Delores Hill of Mount Airy. She is the granddaughter of the late John L. and Estelle Jessup and the late Arthur “Buck” and Lois Hill.
She graduated in 2011 from Mount Airy High School and graduated from Surry Community College in May 2015 with an Associate Degree in Nursing. She is employed at New Image Weight Loss and Wellness as a certified nursing assistant and at Moody’s Funeral Services as a receptionist.
The groom is the son of of Richie and Penny Haynes. He is the grandson of Ricky and Anne Haynes, Ricky and Peggy Hall and Delmar and Mylynda Joyce.
He graduated in 2012 from North Surry High School. He attended Surry Community College and took auto body mechanic classes. He is employed by Frank Fleming Auto Body Shop and Collision Center.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
The maid of honor was Katye Welborn of Mount Airy. Bridesmaids were Jasmine Walker of Pulaski, VA and Heather Hutchins of Mount Airy. Kaylee Lawson of Mount Airy served as junior bridesmaid. The flower girl was Lily Bayles.
Richie Haynes served as best man. Groomsmen were Mackenzie Haynes, Zachery Hill and Daniel Mikolay, all of Mount Airy. Luke Oakley served as best man.
Daphne Boyles and Ellie Martin were in charge of the guest register and programs. The wedding was directed by Joey and Jamie Martin.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Joan Smith, pianist.
Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at the Mount Airy Elks Lodge catered by La’Teah Santucci with music by Danny and Jewel Jenkins.
The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the groom’s parents, was held at Welcome Home Baptist Church and was catered by Little Richard’s of Mount Airy.
Following a honeymoon trip to Myrtle Beach, SC, the couple will reside in Mount Airy.
