Deyton Shawn Rogers and Brent Chase Gough were united in marriage on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Mount Airy. Ralph Sproles officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mark and Deidre Rogers of Mount Airy. She is the granddaughter of Zack Blackmon, Betty Blackmon, Bracky Rogers and the late Wanda Rogers.

She graduated from North Surry High School and UNC-Chapel Hill. She is employed at Renfro Corporation.

The groom is the son of Chad and Kim Gough of Mount Airy. He is the grandson of Eunice Gough and the late Max Gough, Steve Sanders, and Ron and Maxine Hall.

He graduated from North Surry High School and Ferrum College. He is employed at New River Paving and Grading.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Mark Rogers.

She wore a Casablanca bridal gown featuring a white sweetheart neckline with hand beading and layers of scalloped hem lace from Southern Bride in Yadkinville, NC. She wore a floral vine made of crystals in her hair. The bride carried white peonies and roses with an assortment of eucalyptus leaves and greenery.

The matron of honor was Britni Rogers of Mount Airy, sister-in-law of the bride.

Bridesmaids were Kasey Meadows of Mount Airy, Holli Nowlin of Mount Airy, Audrey Nowlin of Mount Airy, Olivia Shelton of Hillsborough, NC, Jessica Bunn of Seattle, WA, Abby Hazel of Mount Airy, Anna Hayes of Mount Airy, Brooke Horton of Mount Airy and Jessica Casstevens of Mount Airy.

The flower girl was Kenedi Blaire Rogers, the bride’s niece. Ring security was provided by Hudson Rogers, nephew of the bride.

The matron of honor and bridesmaids wore long teal chiffon dresses and carried flowers of the same variety and color as the bride’s. All flowers were by Cana Mount Airy Florist — Tracie Hawks.

Karson Gough of Mount Airy, brother of the groom, served as best man.

Groomsmen were brother of the groom Max Gough of Mount Airy, brother of the bride Dustin Rogers of Mount Airy, Clay Nowlin of Mount Airy, Daniel Draughn of Mount Airy, Dillon Hawks of Mount Airy, Tanner Hiatt of Mount Airy, Alex Ratcliff of Mount Airy, Jordan Mann of Mebane, NC, Scott Henshaw of Madison, VA, and Ryan Morris of Madison, VA.

The wedding was directed by Erin and Daniel Haymore.

Gina Gough was reception coordinator and Kelsey Norman was guestbook attendant. Guests were greeted by Samuel Holder, Jarrod Gough and Spencer Gough. Jan Critz and Heather Johnson welcomed guests to the reception.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Jimmy Corder, pianist, and Steve Fussell, soloist.

All photography was by Jordan Brannock Photography, with videography by Humming Meadow Productions and hair and makeup provided by Hudson and Company.

Following the ceremony, the bride’s parents hosted a reception at The Barn at Heritage Farm in Dobson where guests danced to the music of the Will Jones Band. Dinner was catered by 13 Bones with cake and cupcakes by Granny Ruth’s Bakery.

The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the parents of the groom, was held at JOLO Vineyards with a cake by Karen Beasley.

Following a honeymoon trip to the Sandals resort in Negril, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Mount Airy.
