RAGLAND

Ms. Norma Faye Mundy Ragland age 74 of 10 Leonhardt Drive, Cana, VA passed away Sunday morning, February 3, 2013 at Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax, VA. She was born November 30, 1938 in Carroll County, VA to the late James J. “Jim” and Rita Vesta Dalton Mundy. She retired from Northern Hospital of Surry County and was a member of Fancy Gap Baptist Church. Ms. Ragland is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Nikki Ragland, Mount Airy, twin grandchildren, Keylee Blair Ragland and Ellik Scott Ragland, daughter-in-law, Neely Utt Combs all of Mount Airy; a sister, Colene Jones of Cana; brothers and a sisters-in-law, Wayne Mundy of Cana, Norris “Bo” and Donna Mundy of Hillsville and Mary Lou Mundy of Mount Airy; special friends, Wayne and Doris Gilley of Winston Salem, Brenda Daulton of Germanton, NC. In addition to her parents, Ms. Ragland was preceded in death by a son, Derek Scott “Tree” Ragland and a brother, Marvin Mundy; an infant sister; a nephew, Gary Mundy and great nephew, Gregory Quesinberry. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Fancy Gap Baptist Church with Rev. Dwight Sechrist, Rev. Verlon Combs, Rev. Tommy Vass. Burial will follow in the Cana Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy.
