MOUNT AIRY — Mr. Francis Eugene “Andy” Andrews, 90, of Spring Street, Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at his son’s home. He was born Jan. 30, 1922, in Henderson to the late Eugene Huguelet and Daisy Andrews Huguelet Hutchens. He was retired from Central Telephone Company and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Pat Ashley and husband, Bob, of Durham; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert M. “Bob” Andrews and wife, Sally K. Andrews, of Statesville; and three grandchildren, Sarah K. Andrews of Raleigh, Robert M. Andrews II of Durham and Andrew Ashley of Durham. In addition to his parents, Mr. Andrews was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Blankenship Andrews. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Steve Lindsley. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel.
