DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. — Larry Ray Byrd, 71, of Douglasville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012. Mr. Byrd is survived by his loving wife, Jewell Jeannette Byrd of the home; son, Michael Dixon of Georgia; sisters, Margaret Dawson of Virginia, Peggy Morgan of California and Betty Cheek of North Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at noon at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain, N.C.
