SILOAM — Clara Warren Fountain, 76, of Siloam, passed away Dec. 5, 2012, at Forsyth Memorial Hospital, Winston-Salem. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Marvin Fountain, and was the daughter of the late Otis “Pete” Warren and Clara Salmons Warren. Clara is survived by her sister, Patricia Warren Stewart of Georgia; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Roy Dean Beckerdite and Pamela Dawn Beckerdite of Siloam, Allen Beckerdite and Stephanie Valachovic of Clayton and Christopher John Beckerdite of Nashville, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Tonya Beckerdite Scott, Karen Beckerdite White and Katie Dawn Beckerdite; and two great-grandchildren, Brandon White and Hailey Scott. There will be no formal services. In honor and memory of the life of Clara Fountain, the family wishes donations to be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue of Surry County, P.O. Box 324, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Supporting this group to help save the lives of both dogs and cats was a passion of Clara’s. Howell-Nelson Funeral Service of Pilot Mountain is serving the family.
