LIDDLE

MADISON — Mrs. Marion Ray Hawkins Liddle, 87, of Madison, formerly of Mount Airy, passed away Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Liddle was born in Teddington, England, on Oct. 30, 1924, to Gordon Lennox and Hettie Eggleton Hawkins. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Surviving are daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Berk Mitchell of Madison and Mary and Garry Beck of Parkton, Md.; a son and daughter-in-law, John and Betty Liddle of Walnut Cove; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Lorine Bedsaul of Pulaski, Va. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Liddle was preceded in death by her husband, Ocus Bruce “O.B.” Liddle. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Trinity Episcopal Church by Father Ray Hanna. Burial will follow in Mount Vale Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church at 472 N. Main St., Mount Airy, NC 27030.
