Tuesday’s early showers caused several sporting events to be postponed.

Three games were moved to today, and three others were moved to Thursday.

North Surry and Mount Airy were set to play softball and baseball at North Surry Tuesday.

Instead, the games will take place this evening at Mount Airy. The second matchups between the rivals, set for April 9, will be held at North Surry.

Also on tap for today is a tennis match with East Surry visiting West Stokes.

Mount Airy soccer and East Surry softball couldn’t move their games to today because they already have games scheduled.

Instead, Mount Airy will host South Stokes on Thursday, while East Surry travels to West Stokes.

The Cardinal baseball team also will travel to West Stokes on Thursday. The Cards were scheduled to play a nonconference game with West Wilkes Thursday, but that game was bumped. The school hasn’t announced a new date for the Blackhawks game.
