The team sponsored by the town of Dobson won the 6-8 grade division.
“This was an exciting year for the Dobson Youth Basketball League and the kids that participated in the league,” said Brad Davis, league director.
The Dobson Elementary School gym featured new basketball goals with fiberglass backboards like the high schools use.
“I would like to thank the children, coaches, parents and our sponsors for such a great season and would encourage anyone not yet participating in youth basketball to join us next year,” said Davis, who is also an assistant coach for the Surry Central boys team.
“I would also like to thank Dobson Elementary School and Surry County Schools for allowing us to use the Dobson gym for the league.”
