TOBACCOVILLE — Mr. Vincent Lamarr Rogers, 47, passed away on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Forsyth County on Aug. 4, 1965. Vince was a member of Twin City Bible Church in Winston-Salem. He attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University then worked as an aircraft mechanic for 18 years with US Airways, three years with the Winston-Salem Police Department, and was currently employed with Triumph Actuation Systems. Vince was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Pete Shelton; and paternal grandparents, Folger and Ruth Rogers. Surviving are his loving wife of 22 years, Holly Rogers; two children, Jessi Rogers and Christian “Little Man” Rogers; mother, Diane Shelton Carico-Fox; father, Ervin Rogers (Wilma); maternal grandmother, Mildred Collins; special cousin, Chris Laney; and also, numerous extended family. Vince also loved his two dogs, Banjo and Gabriel. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Twin City Bible Church in Winston-Salem with Pastor Carey Hardy officiating. Burial will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
