The house numbered 753 was located off the East U.S. 52 Bypass in Pilot Mountain. Pilot Knob Volunteer Fire Department Capt. Derrick Manuel said no one was hurt in the incident which is still under investigation.</p>

Pilot Knob, Pinnacle and Double Creek volunteer fire departments as well as Surry County Emergency Medical Services and Pilot Mountain Rescue Squad responded to the call which was received at 6:01 p.m. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.</p>
