DOBSON — Ms. Carolyn Denise Pell Warren, 53, of Dobson, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. She was born in Surry County on Sept. 30, 1959, to the late Rev. Willis Pell II and Fenten McBride Pell. She is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Deborah Lynn and Jerry Poteat of Mount Airy; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary Willis and Karen Pell of Hillsville, Va.; a special friend, Sylvia Boyles of Mount Airy; nieces, Christy Hernandez, Kayla Pell, Ami Mills and Tammy Curry; great-nieces and nephews, Isabella Hernandez, Alex Hernandez, Jaxon Pell, Peighton Mills, Brianna Poteat, Brandi Poteat and Kayleigh Curry; and her faithful canine companion, Hub. A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. at McBride Cemetery with the Rev. David Sechrist officiating.
