To the many individuals and organizations which have worked hard this holiday season to collect money, food, toys, and other goods to give a better Christmas to those who are in need.
For those struggling financially, need is a year-round and unwanted companion, but it seems more acute at this time of year, particularly when thinking of the prospect of children with no presents on Christmas morning, or adults alone with nothing and no one to share the holiday.
So for those in the community who have worked to meet this great need, we say a hearty Merry Christmas and offer a big thumbs up.
