Bears lose by 10 to Bucking Elks

ELKIN — The Mount Airy Boys team lost by ten points on Friday to the Bucking Elks.

Mount Airy scored eight points in the first quarter, 13 in the second, zero in the third and 15 in the fourth, giving them a total of 36 points in the game.

The Bucking Elks had scored seven points by the end of the first, seven in the second, 18 in the third, and put in 14 points in the fourth, for a game total of 46 points.

Erette Bobbitt, the assistant Bears head boy’s coach, said the Bucking Elks attempted 33 free throws and made eighteen of them. The Bears were four of nine from the free throw line, said Bobbitt.

Sam Lane of the Bucking Elks was the game high scorer with 19 points.
