Donita Hooker Needham and Kevin Needham of Pilot Mountain announce the birth of a son, Matthew Johnson, on July 6 at Northern Hospital of Surry County, weighing 8 pounds, 12 ounces.
The baby has one sibling, Grace Needham, 3. He is the grandson of Donald and Noretta Hooker of Pilot Mountain and Larry and Faye Needham of Pilot Mountain.

His grandparents are Terry and Debbie Cave of Mount Airy and J.C. and Selma Wallin of Marshall. The great-grandparents are Tom and Margaret Butcher of Morehead City, Virginia Cave of Dobson and Talitha Price of Hot Springs.
