MOUNT AIRY — Mr. Michael Shane Goins, 31, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday morning, Aug. 3, 2010, at his home. Mr. Goins was born July 6, 1979, in Surry County to Roby Lee Goins Jr. and Pam Tilley Goins. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Kelly McCraw Goins of the home; three daughters, Breanna Ollie Goins, Kristin Olivia Goins and Lacy Omelia Goins, all of the home; his father, Roby Lee Goins Jr. and fiancée, Lori Oates Willis, of Mount Airy; his mother, Pam Tilley Goins of Mount Airy; two brothers, Roby Lee Goins III and Jonathan Derrick Goins, both of Mount Airy; his paternal grandmother, Elsie “Gladys” Goins of Mount Airy; his maternal grandparents, Lester and Alene Tilley of Mount Airy; his father and mother-in-law, Harold and Betty Jo McCraw of Mount Airy; and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church with services conducted by the Rev. Dale Wallace, the Rev. Richard Loman and the Rev. David Gantt with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the fellowship hall at Antioch Baptist Church.
