The site, which offers high school sports news from around the state, puts together annual pre- and post-season teams on input from readers and coaches from across each classification.
Moore, who started for coach Kelly Holder and the Granite Bears as a sophomore last season, joins Starmount’s quarterback and defensive back Jake Barr as the only area representatives on this season’s team.
The spindly defensive back is sure to play an important role on the Bears this season, with a number of losses on both sides of the ball.
In 2009 Moore was third on the Mount Airy defense with 107 tackles (70 solo, 37 assisted) and added two interceptions and one forced fumble.
Moore had a season-high 12 tackle performance in the Bears 28-21 win at Thomasville during week two last season and put up 11 tackles (eight solo) and an interception in their 30-6 Northwest 1A/2A Conference clinching win over East Surry Nov. 6.
