n The Mount Airy Police Department is investigating a felonious larceny reported at a local business. The incident occurred Wednesday at TNT Carports on Holly Springs Church Road, where a wallet belonging to Estefani Guadalupe Monroy, an employee of the business, was stolen. It contained currency, coins, a checkbook, a driver’s license, three Social Security cards and other items.

n A break-in was discovered last Tuesday at Sheets Warehousing & Storage on Hickory Street. After entry was gained to the building, seven padlocks were removed from storage units there and another lock was damaged. The stolen property and damage totaled $120.

n Esteban Jose Issac, a Park Drive resident, told police last week that someone broke through a firewall to gain entry to his business on South Street, with coins stolen as a result.

All the unsolved crimes listed remain open for further investigation.
