The bride is the daughter of Sandra Shaver and Ray and Gail Shaver of Statesville. Her grandparents are Sanford and Mary Anne Hedrick, Max and Margie Shaver and the late Rosalee Shaver. She graduated from North Iredell High School and is employed as an assistant customer service manager at Food Lion in Statesville.
The bridegroom is the son of John and Lisa McCormack of Mount Airy. His grandparents are the late Mark and Nell Vandercook and the late James S. and Annette McCormack. He graduated from Mount Airy High School in 2000 and attended Ohio Valley College in Parkersburg, Va., and Surry Community College. He is employed with Food Lion in Statesville.
The wedding music was presented by Gretchen and Jason Dooley.
The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a strapless candlelight lace gown accented with sequins. Her short veil of illusion was attached to a crystal head band and edged with lace matching the dress. She carried a bouquet of purple hydrangeas.
Michelle Shaver of Statesville, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor, and Brandie Wood was the bridesmaid. They wore purple dresses and carried bouquets of purple hydrangeas and white peonies.
Amaya Gill, niece of the bride, was the flower girl. Her dress and veil matched the bride’s attire.
Kyle McCormack, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. The groomsmen were Heath Cahoon and Clay King, both of Myrtle Beach.
The bride’s parents hosted a reception in the church fellowship hall. Ladonna Edwards of Sparta catered the celebration. Assisting in serving were Marsha Caviness and Susie Roberts of Mount Airy.
The bridal couple spent their honeymoon in Charleston, S.C. They reside in their new home in Statesville.
The bridegroom’s parents entertained with the rehearsal dinner at the church. They were assisted by Donna Gardner and Susie Roberts of Mount Airy.
