LENOIR — Mr. Anthony Wayne Goins, 27, of 683 Abington Road, Lenoir, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, May 12, 2010. He was born Sept. 3, 1982, in Surry County to the Rev. Tony Delane and Kimberly Maynard Goins. Mr. Goins had served in the U.S. Navy. He was employed by Southeastern Iron Workers and was a member of Flat Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving are a daughter, Summer Rain Goins of the home and Mount Airy; his parents, the Rev. Tony and Kimberly “Kim” Goins of the home; a sister and brother-in-law, Angela Dawn and Josh Resignalo of Greensboro; a niece, Shaelyn Resignalo of Greensboro; grandparents, Thomas “ Tom” and Claudine Goins of Mount Airy and Bob and Susan Maynard of Greensboro; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Mr. Goins was preceded in death by his grandmother, Ruth Elizabeth (Libby) Young Goins. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Flat Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by Dr. David Sparks and the Rev. Albert Everidge. Burial will follow in Skyline Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moody Funeral Home, where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Anthony will be missed more than words can express. Please pray for his family and friends that have to go on without him in our lives. He gave his life to Christ on Mothers day which was 3 days before he left us. He was a son, a father a brother and an amazing friend.. I love you Ant and will miss you deeply..
