STUART, Va. — Mrs. Audrey Mosley Marion, Aug. 28, 1929-May 1, 2010, has succumbed after a lengthy battle with heart problems at the Pioneer Community Hospital in Patrick County. Audrey grew up in Patrick County, the second child of Jacob E. Mosley Sr. and Lena Sykes Mosley. They and their first child, Iona Mosley Scott, preceded Audrey in death. Surviving are her husband of more than 63 years, Curtis Marion, residing in Patrick County; their daughter, Sandra Marion McJunkin and her husband Art of Lafayette, Ind.; and their son, Timothy Curtis Marion of New York City. Audrey and Curtis’ only grandchild and great-grandchildren are Joanna Lee McJunkin Thompson, and her two children, John Paul Jones II and Samantha Audrey Thompson, also of Lafayette. Audrey’s surviving siblings are Mable Goad of Winston-Salem, N.C., Nerina Culler of Ararat and Jacob E. Mosley Jr. and his wife Carol Scott Mosley of Fredrick, Md.; two aunts; one uncle; and several cousins. Final prayer services will be at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy Thursday, May 6, 2010, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service with interment following in Skyline Memory Gardens in the Masonic Section. The family also will have a visitation on Monday, May 3, 2010, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
