The bride is the daughter of Weldon and Barbara Jones of Mount Airy and the granddaughter of Buster and Mary Lee Jones of Cana, Va., and the late Ralph and Mabeline Jones. Jennifer graduated from Mount Airy Senior High School and received an Associates in Arts degree from Central Piedmont College. She attended the University of North Carolina in Charlotte and is employed at RBC Bank in Mount Airy. Jennifer is a member of the Junior Woman’s Club, Habitat for Humanity and serves as an ambassador for the Greater Mount Airy Chamber of Commerce.
The bridegroom is the son of Charles Wayne and Bridgett Pike of Mount Airy and the grandson of Kathryn McKeithan, the late Robert Louis McKeithan and the late Joseph Daniel and Mary Lou Pike. Jason graduated from North Surry High School and the University of North Carolina in Charlotte with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. He is a member of Kappa Sigma Fraternity, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons Granite Lodge and Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Mount Airy. He is employed with Automotive Development Group in Mooresville as district manager.
The pianist/organist was Linda Denney and soloist/guitarist was Laura Leigh Jones, cousin of the bride.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a beautiful ivory ball gown by Oleg Cassini. The satin bodice was embroidered with delicate beads and sparkling crystals in a floral pattern that was carried down into the soft organza skirt. The bride wore her grandmother Mary Lee Jones’ pearls. She wore her mother’s three-layer two-inch lace edge chapel-length veil. She carried a bouquet of ivory roses and calla lilies tied with a handkerchief belonging to her late great-grandmother, Mary Alice Rodgers. The bride wore an emerald bracelet belonging to her late grandmother, Mabeline Jones. This bracelet was a gift to her grandmother from her late grandfather Ralph Jones while they were dating.
The maid of honor was Abbey Hiatt of Mooresville. The bridesmaids were Staci Hiatt of Mount Airy; Jessee Jones of New York, N.Y., sister-in-law of the bride; and Janet Manring of Pilot Mountain.
The maid of honor and bridesmaids wore unique knee-length dresses made of embroidered burgundy taffeta with a floral pattern that resembled the bride’s gown. The dresses also featured one-shoulder styling with striking 3-D roses along the shoulder. They carried a single ivory calla lily wrapped in lace and ribbon.
The flower girl was Taylor Pike, niece of the groom, and the ring bearer was Carter Hemric.
The best man was Daniel Pike, brother of the groom, of Mount Airy. The groomsmen were Johnny Easter of Winston-Salem; Jesse Jones, brother of the bride, of New York, N.Y.; and Michael McGuire of Charlotte. The junior ushers were Nathan Bond and Blake Bond, both of Mount Airy.
Ashley Jones, cousin of the bride, served as the guest register attendant, and Caitlin Jones, cousin of the bride, was the program attendant. Cathy Stevens was the wedding director.
Following the wedding ceremony, the parents of the bride hosted a dinner at Cross Creek Country Club with entertainment provided by Joe Bunn Entertainment.
The bridal couple later departed on a honeymoon to Aruba. They reside in Mount Airy.
On Friday night, the parents of the groom hosted a rehearsal dinner at Mount Airy Country Club. Acoustical guitarist, Steve Lindsley, entertained guests with musical selections.
A bridal brunch was hosted by the bride’s mother in their home, and a bridesmaids’ luncheon was given at Cross Creek Country Club by Abbey Hiatt, maid of honor, and Barbara Jones, mother of the bride. A couple’s shower was given at the home of Andy and Kelly Hull with Kelly Hull and Jessee Jones, sister-in-law of the bride, as hostesses. A bridal shower was given in the home of Wayne and Bridgett Pike with Bridgett Pike, mother of the groom, Courtney Pike, sister-in-law of the groom, and Sandra Richards, aunt of the groom, as hostesses.
The bride was treated to a housewarming party by Britta Needham and fellow coworkers. She also enjoyed a weekend get-a-way in Boone, hosted by her close friends and the wedding party.
