Vickie Chilton of Mount Airy and Doug and Jackie Arrington of Mount Airy announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Lynn, to Brian Nicholas Leftwich of Mount Airy, son of Steve and Carole Leftwich of Wilmington.

The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Mount Airy High School and a 2007 honor graduate of the University of North Carolina in Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in social work. She is employed as a medical social worker for Mountain Valley Hospice.

The groom-elect is a 1998 graduate of Mount Airy High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of North Carolina in Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in political science. He is employed as an insurance agent with Alliance Insurance.

The wedding is set for May 23 at Sandals Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
