More details have been released about the man who was involved in an ATV accident on Tuesday night.
The victim was Rocky Hawks, 23, of 137 Green Hill Trail, Lowgap. He is still a patient at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. His condition was not available.
John Shelton, director of Surry County Emergency Services, said the wreck occurred when Hawks was riding on an embankment and hit a culvert.
The wreck took place Tuesday night close to 8:30 on Dan Calloway Road in the Pine Ridge community. Danny Lineberry, medical captain of the Pine Ridge Volunteer Fire Department, said the victim was treated for life-threatening injuries.
