Dr. and Mrs. William Lovell Barham of Mount Airy announce the engagement of their daughter, Judith Brooke, to Scott Franklin Lowry, son of Mrs. Dianne S. Lowry of Mount Airy. Mr. Lowry is also the son of the late C. Frank Lowry Jr.

The bride-elect graduated from Mount Airy High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her doctorate of dental surgery with highest honors from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. She practices dentistry in Mount Airy and Winston-Salem.

The prospective bride-groom graduated from Cary High School and North Carolina State University. He received his master of arts from the University of Sussex, Brighton, England, while studying abroad on a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship. He received his Juris Doctorate from the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, Campbell University. He practices law in Mount Airy.

They will be married on March 13 at Grace Moravian Church, Mount Airy.
