Letisha “Tish” Marie Faust’s white Honda Accord was located Dec. 31 near the Blue Ridge Parkway in Franklin County, according to Patrick County Sheriff Dan Smith.
According to Smith, the vehicle was abandoned on a private road and was discovered by property owners. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office called Patrick County investigators once investigators determined the vehicle was missing from Patrick County.
According to a press release from the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office, Lt. Betsy Layman and Investigator Nick Pendleton responded to the scene in Franklin County and impounded the vehicle in order to process it for evidence. Smith said none of the items in the vehicle appeared to have been disturbed and no sign of a struggle existed.
The 50-year-old Patrick County resident still has not been found, even after investigators searched the surrounding area. Faust was last seen filling a prescription at a pharmacy in Floyd on Dec. 9. She then called her mother, with whom she lives, to say she was on the way home.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the situation and ask anyone with information on Faust’s whereabouts to contact Smith or Layman at (276) 694-3161 or call Crimestoppers at (276) 694-5000.
