STUART, Va. — Patrick County authorities are still searching for a woman missing since Dec. 9.

Anyone with information about the disappearance or location of Letisha “Tish” Marie Faust, 50, of Patrick County, is asked to contact the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office. She was last seen filling a prescription at a pharmacy in Floyd. After leaving the pharmacy, she called her mother to say she was on the way home. That was the last known contact her family had with her.

“We are trying to reach out to anyone who may know this woman’s whereabouts,” said Patrick County Sheriff Dan Smith to a Virginia media source, adding that her family “is devastated.”

Patrick County authorities, the Virginia State Police, the U.S. Park Service and others are conducting searches for Faust, including the use of aerial support to search for her white Honda Accord. According to authorities, she may have driven south on the Blue Ridge Parkway although her direction of travel is unknown.

“We’ve also contacted every law enforcement agency in this region,” said Smith to a Virginia media source regarding Faust and her vehicle’s description. “We’re trying to use every resource available to us to get out information about Faust in the hopes that someone knows her whereabouts.”

Authorities have also filed information with the Fusion Center, a nationwide information system manned by the state police in partnership with local, federal and state authorities.

Faust is white with wavy, dark brown hair and wears round glasses with dark frames. She is about 5 feet, 4 inches tall, of medium build and weighs about 170 pounds, according to the missing person’s release.

People may remain anonymous when contacting the sheriff’s office with information. To contact Smith or Betsy Layman, investigator, call (276) 694-3161 or contact local law enforcement authorities or 911.
