The Granite Bears had four players in double figures, led by Ellie Case with 20 and Jordan Hiatt with 17.
Central stayed close behind a game-high 24 points from Katie Rider and 19 from Paige Love.
The Bears hit eight three-point shots.
Coach Howard Mayo said his team did a good job of adjusting to a defensive change in the second half, adding the balanced scoring attack caused problems for Central.
“They changed to zone in the second half and we did a good job of executing our offense and putting the ball in the basket,” he said. “When you have four people in double figures, it makes it tough to key on somebody.”
Mount Airy will play Monday at Bishop McGuinness.

Central boys hold of Cards
HAYS — A driving layup with four minutes remaining by Ethan Wilmoth gave Surry Central the lead and paved the way for the Golden Eagles 48-44 win over East Wilkes Tuesday.
Central was 6-of-6 from the free throw line in the final minute of the game to seal the victory.
Wilmoth had a game-high 18 points, with 14 coming in the first half.
Jake Levesque added 11 points for coach Ken Eiswald’s team.
Micah Bryan had 16 in the loss for East Wilkes, who has yet to break into the win column.
Eiswald said his team had a tough time shooting over the Cardinals zone, which allowed East to stay in the game.
“They played a 1-3-1 zone and a lot of our points came in transition, we just couldn’t knock down shots,” Eiswald said. “They were active in their zone. What kept us in the ball game was our kids played outstanding defense.”
