Municipal offices throughout the county will be closed for the holidays. The County Government Center, which includes the health center, social services, and government offices, will be closed on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It will also be closed on New Years Day. The Surry County Clerk of Courts is on the same holiday schedule.
The Surry County Sheriff’s Office and Mount Airy Police Department will continue to operate, but their administrative offices will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years.
The town offices of Dobson, Mount Airy, and Pilot Mountain will also be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Years.
