Jessica LeeAnn Thompson and Jason Thomas Llewellyn were married June 13 at 2 p.m. at Field of Grace Baptist Church, Dobson, by the Rev. Joey Lane.

The bride is the daughter of Pam Bowman of Mount Airy and Mike Thompson of Lexington and the granddaughter of Glen and Laura McCrary of Mount Airy, the late James Edward Thompson and Albert Cockerham and Virginia Thompson Cockerham of Mount Airy. She graduated form North Surry High School in 2006 and will graduate from Appalachian State University in May 2010 with a major in mathematics secondary education. She is employed by Appalachian State University in the 5th Dimension program.

The bridegroom is the son of Reggie and Mary Llewellyn of Mount Airy and the grandson of the late Roy and Elizabeth Holder and the late Frank and Myrtle Llewellyn. He graduated from Surry Community College in 2004 with an Associate in Arts and Lees-McRae College in 2006 with a B.A. in elementary education. He is employed by Bridges Charter School in State Road as a teacher and athletic director.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother. She wore a white satin strapless gown with a chapel-length train. The bodice was accented with pearls and crystals. The dress tapered to the right holding a broach of pearls and crystals. Her headpiece of sheer white lace was accented with pearls and crystals. She carried two dozen white roses wrapped with blue and purple sheer.

The matron of honor was Jennifer Lovill of Mount Airy, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Megan Eads, Nicole Grey and Melody Stone, all of Mount Airy; and Angela Lane of Boone. They carried yellow roses with white and purple babies’-breath custom made by Carol Hiatt of Cana, Va. The base color blue with a sheer purple color over the blue so the blue could show through. Colors for the matron of honor were reversed.

The flower girl was Kamber Lovill of Mount Airy, niece of the bride, and the ring bearer was Joseph Llewellyn of Dobson, nephew of the groom.

The best man was Reggie Llewellyn of Mount Airy, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Randy Llewellyn of Dobson, brother of the groom; Joel Davis of Jonesville; and Justin McCrary and Jason Felts, both of Mount Airy.

Junior groomsmen were Kaine Lovill of Mount Airy, nephew of the bride; and Seth Llewellyn of Dobson, nephew of groom.

Nathan Llewellyn of Dobson, nephew of the groom, was the bell ringer.

Music was performed by Kalyn Jessup of Mount Airy, pianist; Cam Jessup of Mount Airy, soloist; and Eric and Ann Riggs of Mount Airy, vocalists.

The wedding director was Jayme Llewellyn of Dobson, sister-in-law of the groom. Roxanne McCreary of Mount Airy was the special bridal assistant; Ronnie Sprinkle of Dobson, sound technician; Ann Katherine Welch with Forever Weddings, photographer; and Kevin Calloway of State Road and Ronnie Calloway of Ronda, videographers.

The reception was held at Fairview Baptist Church fellowship hall, Dobson, hosted by the bride’s father and stepmother, Mike and Wanda Thompson.

A rehearsal dinner was held at Pirate’s Landing in Elkin and hosted by Reggie and Mary Llewellyn, parents of the groom.

The bridal couple spent their honeymoon in Destin, Fla., located on Santa Rosa Island in the Gulf of Mexico. The couple resides in Wilkesboro.
