Ted Ring, 71, has lived in Dobson for 16 years. He is retired from Surry County Schools, where he was a supervisor of maintenance. He is North Carolina certified in mechanical, electrical and plumbing. He has been in the Dobson Volunteer Fire Department for 28 years. He has volunteered with the Dobson Rescue Squad and was an auxiliary deputy.
Ring could not be reached for the round of questions posed to the other candidates.
