Upon arriving, they found a door and window damaged at the Andy Griffith Playhouse, along with the bench — from which one leg had been removed. Total damage was estimated at $300. Marisa Lynn Hensley 39, of 369 Hadley St., was arrested and charged with injury to real property and taken to the Surry County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond. Hensley, whom police said had a blood-alcohol level of .21 percent, is scheduled to appear in District Court on Dec. 14.
- Sabrina May Summers, 28, of 1127 Toms Creek Church Road, Pilot Mountain, was served with warrants Sunday on violations of larceny and possession of stolen property in connection with a July 30 incident at Wal-Mart. The outstanding warrants were served after Summers returned to the store Sunday and was spotted by an employee, arrest records show. Summers is scheduled to appear in Surry District Court on Nov. 9.
- James Edward Willard, 18, of 513 Lovill St., was cited with a larceny charge Sunday after management personnel at Wal-Mart allegedly saw him stealing merchandise valued at $20. Willard is scheduled to appear in Surry District Court on Nov. 10.
- Police are investigating an alleged larceny by an employee at Pine State Marketing on Frederick Street. The incident was reported Friday, but apparently occurred between July and September, involving a worker allegedly using employer references to obtain a chemical product worth $314 for personal use. No charge had been filed at last report.
- A break-in was discovered Friday at a residence on Henri Street, where a 32-inch Vizio television set valued at $700 was stolen after someone gained entry by breaking a window with a hammer. The property damage was put at $150, with the victim listed as George Wright Jr. of Stone Mountain, Ga. The case remains open for further investigation.
- A larceny was reported Friday at the residence of Lauren Gaye Browne of Willow Hill Circle. Browne’s pocketbook, said to contain $400 in cash along with a Wachovia debit card, Social Security card, birth certificate and other property, was taken in the case that remains open for further investigation.
- It was reported Thursday that two counterfeit $20 bills had been used to buy items from the Ted’s and Fred’s Homemade Ice Cream site at Main and Oak streets during the Autumn Leaves Festival. The case remains open for further investigation.
- Dustin Charles Johnson, 17, of 168 Long St., was arrested Thursday on charges of misdemeanor larceny and injury to personal property. Johnson was held in the Surry County Jail under a $1,000 secured bond and is to be in District Court on Dec. 8.
