5K on the Greenway

This year’s 5K on the Greenway takes place Oct. 10. The race begins on the Greenway beyond the horse farm and continues on a loop.

The cost for the 5K or the shorter half-mile run is $20 before Sept. 30 and $25 thereafter. Runners under 18 can register for $10. For more information, call 786-8313 or e-mail Darren Lewis at dlewis@mountairy.org.

Half and team marathon

Reeves Community Center will host a half marathon and team marathon Nov. 7 beginning at 8 a.m. Cost is $30 per person prior to Oct. 30 and $40 thereafter. Registration forms can be picked up at Reeves Community Center.

Westfield signups

The Westfield Booster Club Youth Foundation will be holding basketball sign-ups from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Old Westfield School Gym every Saturday in October.

The cost is $50 for one child and $90 for two or more children. For more information, call 351-5573.

5-on-5 tourney



There will be a 5-on-5 basketball tournament for anyone 18 and older at Carroll County High School on Nov. 7 and 8 as a fundraiser for the Cavaliers basketball program.
