Weldon and Shelby Coalson Taylor, 683 McKinney Road, Mount Airy, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with dinner at the Mount Airy Elks Lodge with family and friends on Sept. 19. 2009. The celebration was given by their daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Shannon, Nelson and Jacob Snow.

The couple was married on Sept. 18, 1959.

Mr. Taylor is retired from the Mount Airy ABC Store and Mrs. Taylor works for Pike Electric.
