STUART, Va. — A Patrick County man wanted in connection with a break-in in Ararat has been apprehended.
Christopher Allen Odom, 32, of 467 Longbranch Road in Claudville, was taken into custody Thursday morning, according to Sheriff Dan Smith.
Odom is charged with breaking and entering and grand larceny stemming from an incident last Friday at 3770 Friends Mission Road. Nine firearms, a gun safe and assorted ammunition, valued altogether at more than $3,500, were stolen.
A citizen tip led investigators to a home in Claudville which Odom was sharing with Anthony Shane Humble, 29. Humble is being held without bond on identical charges, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and outstanding probation-violation warrants from Kentucky and Missouri.
Odom, however, remained at large until being arrested on Thursday. Bond information for him was not available.
